MSIA and NCER Collaborate to Accelerate Malaysia’s Semiconductor Ambitions

MSIA is proud to formalize a strategic partnership with the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER Malaysia) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The MoU was exchanged between Encik Hasri A. Hasan, COO of NCIA, and Dato’ Yong Jin Lim, Vice President of MSIA, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing Malaysia’s semiconductor industry through ecosystem development, talent growth, innovation, and technology collaboration.

As Malaysia continues its journey towards higher-value semiconductor activities, including IC design, advanced packaging, R&D, automation, and technology commercialization, strong partnerships between industry and regional development agencies are critical to ensuring sustainable growth and global competitiveness.

Through this partnership, MSIA and NCER will work closely to:
- Strengthen semiconductor industry capabilities and ecosystem development
- Support talent development and workforce readiness initiatives
- Facilitate technology collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange
